Weddings by Laxmi is the wedding arm of Laxmis World LLC, a family-run studio based in Boston. We plan Indian and fusion weddings across the United States, with a special focus on Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Connecticut — from a small court ceremony to a four-day weekend of mehndi, haldi, sangeet, baraat and reception. Design, decor, photography, hair and makeup, catering, DJ and entertainment are all run in-house, so you work with one team on one plan instead of managing a dozen separate vendors.
I grew up inside big Indian weddings — the cooking, the guest lists, the last-minute scrambles — so I know what these days mean to a family, and how easily the planning takes over a home. My husband and I started Weddings by Laxmi to carry that load for you. The promise is simple: your rituals are handled by people who understand them, your budget is tracked line by line, and on the wedding day you are a guest, not a coordinator.
Laxmi — Founder & Lead Planner
Some couples come to us before they’ve booked a venue; others arrive three months out with everything chosen. Pick the level of support that matches where you are.
Our complete service. We take the wedding from an empty calendar to the last song — venue, vendors, design, budget and every function — so you stay in the celebration, not the logistics.
For couples planning it themselves who don’t want to do it alone. You keep the creative lead; we bring the structure, the vendor network and a planner on call every month.
You’ve planned it. In the final weeks we take over the timeline, confirm every vendor and run the day, so your family can put the phones down.
Whatever you book, all of this is arranged and run by our team:
From your first venue walk-through to the last dance, every timeline, vendor and detail is managed in one place.
We understand the culture, traditions and family dynamics behind Indian and fusion weddings, so nothing feels rushed or overlooked.
Our design process balances beauty and practicality, creating a celebration that feels elevated, warm and completely you.
You always know what is happening, what is next and who is handling the details, without chasing confirmations on the wedding day.
We take on a limited number of weddings each year. Yours gets a lead planner who knows your family by name, your timeline by heart and every vendor on speed dial.
A sample of weddings we’ve planned across New England — Hindu, Sikh, Gujarati and fusion, from garden ceremonies to hotel-ballroom receptions.
Getting-ready portraits, mandap details, first dances and everything in between.
We had three functions in two days and Laxmi’s team ran every one. Rituals started on time, our parents actually relaxed, and we never once chased a vendor.
Planning, decor and photography were one contract and one contact. It genuinely felt like family handling family.
The baraat, the sangeet lighting, the caterer — all on one timeline, all handled. Our guests are still talking about the entrance.
The sangeet ran twenty minutes long and it didn’t matter — the timeline had slack built in for exactly that. Laxmi read the room better than we could have.
We planned from California and flew in twice. By the wedding week everything was done — we just showed up and enjoyed it.
Two sets of parents with an opinion on everything. Laxmi kept both families feeling heard and still held the budget.
Haldi in a backyard, ceremony in a hotel ballroom — completely different setups, one team, no gaps between them.
The decor matched the mood board exactly, which never happens. Guests stopped at the door of the ballroom.
A Sikh ceremony in the morning and a church blessing after lunch. The day was mapped so neither side felt shortchanged.
Our first planner went quiet four months out. Laxmi took over, rebuilt the vendor list in two weeks, and the day was flawless.

Weddings by Laxmi is based in Boston and plans weddings across Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Connecticut, New York and New Jersey. We also travel for destination weddings on request.
Indian weddings of every tradition — North Indian and South Indian, Hindu, Sikh and Jain — as well as fusion and interfaith weddings that bring two families’ cultures into one weekend.
Full Planning is end-to-end management of every event and vendor. Custom Planning gives couples who are planning themselves a professional framework, vendor vetting and monthly check-ins. Day-of Coordination is a four-to-six-week takeover so you can hand off the timeline and enjoy the day.
For Full Planning, most couples book 10 to 14 months before the wedding. Day-of Coordination is usually arranged three to four months out. Popular dates and venues book early, so reach out as soon as you have a date in mind.
Yes. Mehndi, haldi, sangeet, the ceremony and the reception are all run to a single master timeline, with one coordination team across every function.
Every wedding is quoted individually. Cost depends on your guest count, the number of functions, and whether you choose Full Planning, Custom Planning or Day-of Coordination. After a consultation call you receive a written proposal with no hidden fees.
Yes. Planning, decor and florals, mandap and stage, photography and video, hair and makeup, catering and bar, DJ and live music, baraat with dhol and ghodi, lighting and sound, invitations, transportation and priest coordination are all arranged in-house through Laxmis World LLC, so every element works to one plan. You are also welcome to bring your own vendors.
Yes. We book DJs and live music, dhol players, a ghodi or vintage car for the baraat, MCs, dancers, photo booths and after-party acts — or we manage the performers you’ve already chosen and fold them into the run-of-show.
Yes. Every service we offer in-house is optional — you can bring your own caterer, photographer, decor team or DJ, and we coordinate them into the plan. Most couples mix a few of our vendors with their own.
Yes. We plan intimate court and temple ceremonies, receptions on their own, and single functions like a sangeet or haldi — not only full multi-day weekends.
A limited number each year, so every couple has a dedicated lead planner. Peak weekends are held for one wedding at a time.
Yes, for destination weddings. Our home base is Boston and most of our work is in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Connecticut, New York and New Jersey, but we plan weddings elsewhere in the US and abroad on request.
